CannaSoul Lab Services, was established to provide a high level of medical cannabis
analytic tests focusing on the regulation that is required globally.
CannaSoul Lab Services is a subsidiary of CannaSoul Analytics, a market leader in
cannabis analytical R&D. CannaSoul Analytics was founded by Prof. Dedi Meiri, a
world-renowned cannabis researcher from the Israel Institute of Technology (the
Technion), and by the Technion, which offers a one-stop-shop for cannabis
analysis, development and testing.
Our state-of-the-art laboratory is run by highly trained professionals, with
extensive experience in research, method development and validation, each, with
prior experience in working under ISO 17025 and GMP conditions FDA audits.
CannaSoul Lab Services boasts a highly professional staff with extensive experience from the
pharmaceutical industry
CannaSoul Lab Services offers a full range of cannabis analytics and microbiology
testing service that comply with regulatory standards for batch release:
Visual Identification is the first step in quality control of cannabis final products. This inspection must be performed, according to the IMC-GMP requirements to ensure the purity of the product.
Cannasoul Lab Services offers visual inspections carried out in accordance to the customer’s procedures or according to Cannasoul Lab Services’ In-house method.
Using Cannasoul Lab Services’ method, the appearance and Identification procedures will generate an in depth description of the product which may include such as: a photograph of the product, descriptions of seed, stem or trim remnants, a overview of the numerous identification phases (for oil products) and a review of the results of the microscopic testing for any foreign matter.
Loss on Drying (or moisture) test must be performed, according to the IMC-GMP and IMC-GAP requirements.
Cannasoul Lab Services offers two types of tests:
For the final cannabis final product, a foreign matter screening test must be performed, according to the IMC-GMP requirements, to ensure the product is free from potentially harmful foreign materials.
The foreign matter test is a visual test, whose purpose is to define whether there is less than 2% of any matter that does not originate from the source plant.
For this purpose, Cannasoul Lab Services offers its in-house method based on EP 2.8.2.
THC, CBD, CBN, CBG, CBC
and their acid forms Identification
of 17 cannabinoids
Potency analysis must be performed according to the IMC-GMP and IMC-GAP requirements. According to IMC-GMP 11 Phyto-cannabinoids must be identified and quantified in all cannabis plant and oil products.
Cannasoul Lab Services offers an in-house method using HPLC instrument with a PDA detector. Using this method, Cannasoul can identify and quantify 17 Phyto-cannabinoids (with quantitation limits of 0.08 % of dry product):
Phyto-cannabinoids: CBDVA, CBDV, CBDA, CBD, CBGA, CBG, THCV, THC, d8-THC, THCA, CBN, CBNA, CBL, CBC, CBCA, CBCV and Cannabicitran.
Quantitation according to Israeli Regulations
Public Health (Food) (Pesticide Residues, 1991)
Pesticides are one of several potential contaminants in cannabis and cannabis products. Persticide analysis must be performed according to the IMC-GMP and IMC-GAP requirements, to detect the residual levels of pesticides in cannabis product samples, and ensure that they are within defined regulations.
For this purpose, Cannasoul Lab Services offers two combined methods using GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS techniques. More than 260 pesticides can be identified by using these methods.
Includes: Cadmium, Lead, Mercury, Arsenic,
Nickel and Zinc.
Heavy metals are one of several potential contaminants in cannabis and cannabis products. Heavy metal analysis must be performed according to the IMC-GMP and IMC-GAP requirements, to identify and quantify a list of 6 metals that may be in the tested cannabis plant and oil samples.
Cannasoul Lab Services offers an in-house testing method using ICP-MS techniques, based on EP 2.4.27.
The Quantitation Limits (QL) of all the metals are defined by the IMC-GMP, USP <232> and ICH Q3D regulatory requirements.
Presence of the following metals are tested for (QL limits in µg/g):
Includes: microbial count, molds and yeast,
E. coli, O-157 E. coli, Salmonella, Shigella,
Enterobactin, Listeria, S. Aureus & P. Aeruginosa
Microbial analysis must be performed according to the IMC-GMP and IMC-GAP requirements. This analysis includes 10 different tests to determine if the microbiological quality complies to requirements.
These tests include quantitative enumerations of bacteria and fungi (yeast & molds), and tests for the absence (or limited occurrence) of specified microorganisms (harmful microbial contamination), based on USP <60>, <61>, <2021>; EP 2.6.12, 2.6.13, 2.6.31, ISO 16654, ISO 21567, ISO 11290.
The tests are:
Includes: B1-Aflatoxin, Total-Aflatoxins &
Ochratoxin A
Toxins are one of several potential contaminants in cannabis and cannabis products. Analysis of toxins must be performed according to the IMC-GMP and IMC-GAP requirements, to identify and quantify five toxins in cannabis plants and oil samples.
Cannasoul Lab Services offers an in-house method using LC-MS/MS technics, based on EP 2.8.18 and EP 2.8.22.
The toxins (QL limits in µg/L) are:
